  • Requesting Reconsideration: Reconsiderations rarely favour claimants without legal representation. Craft a coherent request and supplement it with additional evidence, especially medical documentation, crucial for independent medicolegal assessments.
  • Receipt of Reconsideration/Reviewable Decision: If unhappy with the decision, move to lodge an application with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) within 60 days. Seek advice from a lawyer early in this stage to navigate this critical decision.
  • Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT Application): Lodge your AAT application within a strict 60-day deadline. While designed for self-representation, the process is complex. I was very happy with David and Katie and their expertise with my complicated legal situation with work. It went for a year and a half and was a favourable outcome. All expenses were explained beforehand and were in accordance with the fees documentation that was provided for legal matters in the ACT.
